 trader looking for sideways. It’s Because trader want a short term gain/profit . traders need volatility. So trader need a technical analysis. That is have a characteristic like statistic that have a error or wrong prediction but it is so reasonable. So if the traders got wrong prediction, they can’t stuck in the uptrends. Because uptrends ussualy will be downtrends. So all the increase it  have the potention to decrease.

How to treat a stock ?
Because the trader looking for sideways, so the trader should to see the form of the structure from every stock. For example ASII’s stock, some of investor doen’t like stock like that. Because they will spend their time into stuck price.
So, how to know if the stock is downprice or over price ? So wee need the indicator its called Bollinger bands.  find price that crossing down lower band, it called confirmation, then wait for golden cross which is when price crossing up middle band, its the entry point and that means you good to enter the market, open buy position, next, wait for price crossing up the upper band, and thats the signal to sell your stock and exit the market.
